DYSU Challenge #87

Morning All,
Our theme for this week's challenge over at Do You Stack Up? is "BACK TO SCHOOL" so we are looking forward to seeing all your school related creations.

and we have three fabulous sponsors this week..........

Can You Digi It - $10 Gift Certificate

Melonheadz - $15 Gift Certificate

My Heart Pieces - Winner's Choice of 3 Digis

I got to play with this cute schoolboy image from Melonheadz this week and decided to make a Sticky Note Matchbook. The image has been cut out and mounted on the front of the matchbook with foam pads for some dimension. The schoolhouse and books are a couple of buttons that I have had lying around for ages - knew they would come in handy one day!!

This is the inside of the matchbook showing the gorgeous orange sticky notes.  If you would like to try your hand at one of these, there is a brilliant tutorial over on the All That Scraps Blog HERE.  It was really simple to make and I was very pleased with the end result.

Ingredients:-
Medium - Promarkers
Paper - MME Kraft Funday Happy Days
Everything else - stash

I am sure a lot of you have children going back to school very soon and this is the perfect excuse to make them something to wish them luck. Do take a look at what the rest of the brilliant DYSU team have created and leave them some love.  Thank you so much for looking.

Digi Doodle Shop Challenge #122

Back Again, this time with my DT creation for Digi Doodle Shop Challenges where this week want you to "Use Pearls" on your entry. How simple is that!!

This week I chose to use the Whale from this fun set called "Sea Life" which you can find in the Digi Doodle Shop here.  And this is what I did......................

A simple circular card (am still loving this shape) with a punny sentiment!!  Isn't he just the cutest whale you have ever seen :0)  As you can see, I used the pearls for his spray and just added a few to highlight the waves. The whale has been cut out and mounted on foam pads to give some dimension. So quick and easy.

Ingredients:-
Medium - Promarkers
Paper - found on the web
Sentiment - computer generated
Pearls - stash
Card - cut with a Grand Nestie

That's all from me for today. I do hope you will take a look at the rest of the team's wonderful and varied creations and then join us for this great challenge. As always, you do not have to use a Digi Doodle Shop image, but anyone who does gets two entries into the challenge.  The prize up for grabs is a $10 gift certificate to spend in the shop.
Thank you so much for looking.

Digi Doodle Shop Challenge #120

For my DYSU DT post, please scroll down - thanks

Back again, this time with my card for Digi Doodle Shop Challenges. It's Team Karen's turn to host this week and we have an easy theme for you - THINGS WITH WINGS - so show us your birds, butterflies, bees, angels, fairies - the list is endless.

This card has been created using a set from the Digi Doodle Shop called "Twitty Diddle" which comes with two images - one little birdy smiling and the other one not!! Isn't he such a funny little guy - I love him. The ticket already had the faux stitching around it so I thought I would add faux stitching to the rest of the card elements to match.

I printed the non-smiling image twice and the smiling one once - he really makes me giggle every time I look at him :0)

Ingredients:-
Medium - Promarkers
Papers - Echo Park "Hello Summer" - told you I love these!!
Brads - stash
Ticket - freebie - no name I'm afraid
Sentiment - Scrapalicious Times freebie

Well that's me done for today. I hope you will take a look at the rest of Team Karen's gorgeous makes and join our great challenge. You don’t have to use a Digi Doodle Shop image, but if you do, your entry will count twice!! You are also allowed to enter our challenge as many times as you like, as long as you enter with a new creation.

The winner gets  a $10 gift certificate for the Digi Doodle Shop where you’ll be spoilt for choice, as there are so many great images to choose from. We also have 2 runners up who will get a badge to wear on their blogs.
Thank you so much for looking.
Hugs

DYSU Challenge #84

Good morning all you lovely bloggers!
I hope you are well and ready for our next challenge at Do You Stack Up?  where our theme this week is
FOUR LEGGED FRIENDS

We have three lovely sponsors and some great prizes up for grabs -

Birdie Brown - Winner's choice of 3 digital images

The Paper Shelter - $20 Gift Certificate

Bugaboo Stamps - Winner's choice of 7 digital images

And so to my card ..........

I have used this fun sleepy cow and fence image from a Birdie Brown set called "Moo Moo" which you can find here in her Etsy shop. Adding this particular sentiment made be smile because this little cow does not look as though it could be moved by anything :0)  I printed the cow twice and decoupaged the head so that it sat over the fence which was attached with foam pads. The little flowers have all been punched out of red paper and stuck on separately and then had little pearls stuck to their centres. Very time consuming but effective.  I must admit - I LOVE this card!!!

And here's the close up image.

Ingredients:-
Medium - Promarkers
Papers - Echo Park "Hello Summer" am loving this paper
Sentiment - TLC freebie
Grass - Memory Box Die "Grassland Border"
Flower punch - no name I'm afraid
Pearls - stash
Card - cut with a Grand Nestie

There are more lovely four legged friends waiting to inspire you over on the Do You Stack Up? challenge blog, so why not hop on over, take a look and then join the fun.  I can't wait to see what you create.
