Digi Doodle Shop Challenge #118

Back again with my DT card for this week's challenge over at Digi Doodle Shop Challenges. Our theme this week is STRIPES, so show us your striped papers, ribbons or designs.  I think I may have been influenced with all the sunny weather we have been having, as this is a very bright card!!!!

I chose this fun image from the Bumble Bee set which you can find in the Digi Doodle Shop. I thought it fitted the Stripes theme perfectly!! You get two bee images and a selection of "bee" related sentiments in the set, so very good value for your money :0)  I went with a circular card again as I am loving this shape at the moment and plenty of very bright, summery colours. The card was cut with a Spellbinders Grand Nestie, the circle cut on the Cricut and the rest with normal Nesties.

Ingredients:
Medium - Promarkers and Barn Door Distress Ink
Papers - Echo Park "Hello Summer"
Flowers - Cut on my Cricut and coloured with Promarkers
Ribbon and brads - stash

The rest of  the Team Karen girls have made some wonderful cards for your inspiration so do take a look and I hope you will join us for this great challenge. Check out the shop too, there is still a great 10% sale going on until the end of the month!!

That's all from me for today.
Happy Crafting
Hugs

Good Morning All
Wow what gorgeous weather we've been having - hope it lasts throughout the Olympics but maybe not quite so hot!!
Our challenge theme this week at Do You Stack Up? is all about FRIENDSHIP so we want to see anything friend related. Just take a look at our gorgeous inspiration picture - so adorable........

and we have three great sponsors this week and some fab prizes.....

Little Darlings Rubber Stamps - $10 Gift certificate

Pink Gem Designs - Winner's Choice of 3 Digi Stamps

Floppy Latte's Digital Designs - $10 Gift Certificate

I had free choice for this challenge and so used this lovable Docrafts' Wellington Bear image, tag and sentiment - don't you just love him. He definitely looks like he needs a great big hug!!  I kept the card very simple as the image is quite a large one but I am really pleased with how it turned out :0)

I have not yet mastered the art of colouring fur so made him a curly bear instead by just dotting the Promarkers, which I think looks quite effective - what do you think????

Ingredients:
Medium - Promarkers
Papers - Portobello Road by Papermania
Cardstock and brad - stash

The rest of the team have once again come up with some gorgeous creations so I hope you will pop over to the Do You Stack Up Challenge blog and take a look. I can't wait to see all your lovely entries.
So that's it from me for now. I shall be back later with my DT card for Digi Doodle Shop Challenges and I warn you now, you will need sunglasses for my very bright card - LOL!!

Nifty Fifty!!!

Good Morning All,
Hope you are all enjoying this long awaited sunshine here in the UK :0)
Today I am sharing a card I made at the weekend for a friend's 50th Birthday. I thought this gorgeous Mo Manning image called Veronica was just perfect.

I messed around in Paint Shop Pro and added a 50 behind the image and the sentiment and then paper pieced her dress. Some curly ribbon and a few pearls and there you have it, a fun card for a fun lady who does not do pink!!!

So, that's all from me for today. Sorry for the quick post but I need to call my Bank. It would seem some kind person hacked into my Amazon account and used my card for a $50 voucher which means I now have to cancel the card and wait about 7 days for a new one - grrrrrrr.
Thank you so much for looking.

Digi Doodle Shop Challenge #116

This week at Digi Doodle Shop Challenges our theme is "Summertime" so I am hoping to see lots of bright cheerful creations. We definitely need some here in the UK - I am really fed up with all this rain :0(

My card is certainly bright and cheerful. I used the two surfboard images from the Summer Fun Doodles Set 2 which you can find here in the Digi Doodle Shop. This was a really fun card to make - just the two boards which I attached with foam pads, some Summer papers and two wave borders  - so simple.

Ingredients:
Medium - Promarkers
Papers - stash
Wave border - cut on the Cameo from white card and coloured

So, that's all from me for today. Don't forget to pop on over to Digi Doodle Shop Challenges, take a look at the rest of Team Karen's gorgeous creations and then join us in this fun challenge. While you're there, why not take a look at all the fantastic stamps available in the shop - there is a sale going on throughout July so you are sure to pick up a bargain!!

DYSU Challenge #80

Good Morning All,
Time for our new challenge over at Do You Stack Up? and this week our theme is Cool Colours.........

We have three great sponsors this week

Copic Marker Scrapbooking  6 Copic Ciao Markers (North/South America), Martha Stewart punch (rest of the world)

The Stamping Boutique - Winner's choice of 3 digis

Scrappers Delights - $5 Gift Certificate

For my card this week I have used just stamps, inks and embossing powder - not a Promarker in sight!!! I created a faux batik background by stamping with Versamark, embossing with clear powder and then removing the embossing after I had inked the paper. The butterflies were stamped in black first and then I over-stamped in green.  I also stamped one of the butterflies onto pink paper and decoupaged it. I really enjoyed making this card - it's been a long time since I used just stamping techniques on a card.

Ingredients:
Distress Inks - Tumbled Glass and Shabby Shutters
Versafine - Black
Versamark
Clear embossing powder
Hero Arts stamp - "Old French Writing"
Butterfly Kisses stamp - words from "Art Collage"
EK Success stamp - "Patterned Butterfly Bugs"
Household iron and copy paper

Don't forget to take a look at the rest of the Teams' wonderful Cool Colour creations over on the DYSU Challenge blog and I really hope you will join in this fun challenge.  Thank you so much for looking. I shall be back later with my Digi Doodle Shop Challenges make.
