Digi Doodle Shop Challenges #110

If you are looking for my Do You Stack Up DT card, please scroll down - thanks

This week over at Digi Doodle Shop Challenges, our theme is "Use Bunting". You could make a card using bunting as an embellishment, use papers with a bunting design or even make bunting itself. The possibilities are endless and the choice is all yours!!!

I chose to make a card with bunting as an embellishment. I used this delightful image called "Birthday Buddies" which you can find in the Digi Doodle Shop.  Once I had stuck down all the other elements, I stamped the bunting onto the card, stamped another impression onto plain white card which I coloured, cut out and paper pieced onto the main design.

This is a close-up of the image - isn't that little mouse a sweetie.

Ingredients:
Medium - Promarkers
Papers - Echo Park "Hello Summer" by Lori Whitlock
Bunting and sentiment - Crafty Claire's Party Time stamps
Ribbon - stash
Punched border - Fiskars edge punch

Right, that's me done for today except to say, I hope you will take a look at the rest of Team Karen's gorgeous work and join in with this great challenge.
Happy Crafting

I used this gorgeous image from The Stamping Boutique called "An Uncommon Friendship" for my little piece of inspiration this week - isn't this just a great image. I went with a circular card cut on my Grand Calibur and a variety of die cuts to resemble seaweed.

Here's a close-up showing the glitter I added for some lovely sparkle. I also used some glossy accents on the turtle, fish, flower in her hair and her top but as per, this is not showing up at all!!

Ingredients:-
Medium - Promarkers and Weathered Wood DI around scalloped edges
Papers - odds and ends from stash
Glitter - Glamour Dust
Charms, brad and ribbon - stash

DYSU Challenge #73

Good Morning All,
At last - some beautiful weather!! Glad to see the back of that miserable rain :0)  Time for our new challenge over at Do You Stack Up? and this week our theme is "A Birdie Told Me" which means we are looking forward to seeing all of your gorgeous bird themed creations.

and our lovely sponsors this week are...........

Meljen's Designs Winners Choice of 4 Images

Robyn's FetishWinner’s Choice of 5 Digital Stamps

Little Claire's Designs - Stamp Set "A Little Birdie Told Me"

I had a free choice this week for my card and have used this gorgeous stamp from Papemania called "Bunting" from the new Lucy Cromwell collection. I love this and I got it as part of the Docrafts gift pack while on the crafting cruise!!  I have kept the card clean and simple as I didn't feel the image needed anything extra (except of course for the Pink Petticoat sentiment).  I have added some glitter but it does not show up in this pretty rubbish picture I'm afraid - still having problems getting a good photo in the new flat. Every  room has large windows and there is too much light which tends to cause over exposure. Great for crafting - pants for photos - lol !!

Ingredients:-
Medium - Promarkers
Cardstock - Kanban Silk Art card
Bows - stash
Brads - also part of the Docrafts free gift pack!!

The rest of the team have created some really gorgeous and very varied projects for this week's theme so do make sure you pop over to DYSU and take a look. They really will inspire you to join in the fun.

That's it from me for today.
Happy Crafting

Digi Doodle Shop Challenges #108

For my DYSU DT card, please scroll down xxx

I'm back again, this time to tell you about this week's challenge over at Digi Doodle Shop Challenges where we want to see Work Related creations. This could be a card for a particular profession such as a Policeman, Doctor, Nurse etc. or simply something depicting some kind of work being carried out.  The possibilities are endless and I am sure you will come up with some great ideas!!

I have chosen this lovely image from the Digi Doodle Shop called "Farm Boy and Apples" for my work related piece of inspiration. I had wanted to add a few more embellishments to this card but seem to have misplaced them during the move :0(  I know that somewhere I have some gorgeous apple shaped buttons that would have been perfect but have searched high and low for them with no joy. Guess this is one of the pitfalls of having your daughter help you organise your new craft room - LOL!!  No doubt they will turn up in due course but for now I have just had to use some red brads.

Ingredients:-
Medium - Promarkers
Papers - magazine freebie
Brads, ribbon and wooden charm - stash

Well, that's it from me for today. I hope you will take a look at the rest of Team Karen's amazing work over on the blog and join our fun challenge.

Happy Crafting

DYSU Challenge #72

Morning All,
Time for a new challenge over at Do You Stack Up? but firstly I want to say WOW,  what gorgeous creations you all entered last week for our Add A Flower challenge - so hard to pick my favourite 3!! Congratulations to all the winners.

This week we want you to create a Landscape.

and our lovely sponsors are .................

Copic Marker Scrapbooking6 copic ciao marker

(North/South America), Martha Stewart punch (rest of the world)

Pink Cat StudioWinner’s Choice of 5 Digis

The Ribbon Reel £10 Gift Voucher

This week I got to play with some images from the Pink Cat Studio - and play is exactly what I did!! I have used "Betty Bumble Bee Fairy and Flower", the "Sun" and two of the "Happy Flowers". All have been attached to the card with foam pads for dimension and the grass has been created by fraying some green ribbon.

I must admit when this was finished, I was not that happy with it. You know what it's like when you visualise something in your head - it never quite turns out how you saw it. Well this was one of those cards but the more I look at it, the more it grows on me - LOL!!

Ingredients:
Medium - Promarkers
Paper and ribbon - stash. No name for the paper I'm afraid.

Do take a look at the DYSU Challenge blog - the rest of the DT have created some fantastic landscapes that will hopefully inspire you to join in.

Thanks for looking.
Hugs

DYSU Challenge #71

Good Morning All,
Well Louise and I are back from our Create & Craft cruise and what a brilliant time we had.  Fantastic service, wonderful six course meals and partying every night!!  The craft classes were brilliant, as were the demonstrators who all worked really hard.  We received some wonderful project packs from Docrafts, Hunky Dory, Beaders Companion and Debbi Moore (to name but a few) and the Create & Craft presenters who went were great fun and so friendly. We would definitely do it again :0)  Pictures will be posted soon.

Anyway, enough waffling about me.  It's Thursday again and that means it's time for our next challenge over at Do You Stack Up? and this week we want you to Add A Flower - simple!!

And for this challenge our lovely sponsors are....

Inspired Stamps -  $15 store credit

Digi Darla - Winner’s Choice of 5 Digis

The Greeting Farm - Winners Choice of 1 Clear Stamp set

My card this week uses this adorable digital image from The Greeting Farm called Kissy, Kissy.  I think I may have gone a bit OTT with the flower though - lol.

I love The Greeting Farm images - they are such fun and so easy to colour.  I have added glitter to her dress but it is not showing up too well in the photo. I am still trying to find the perfect place to take photos in my new craft room.

Ingredients:-
Medium - Promarkers
Papers - Butterfly Garden from Wild Rose Studio and Papermania Capsule Collection
Flowers, brad, pearls, ribbon, lace, bow and doily - stash

Right, that's my little piece of inspiration for this week's challenge. Do take a look at the rest of the Team's fabulous work and I hope you will join in the fun. There are some fab prizes up for grabs. Before I go, I must let you all know that after much deliberation, and taking into account the differing time zones for our International Design Team, we are going to close the DYSU challenge a day earlystarting from this week. To enable our team to get round to the last entrants, and to give everybody a fair chance, we are now closing the challenge on Tuesdays at 5pm Mountain Time. This will enable the D.T. to get round to visiting all your creations, in good time, and leave you some love :-)

Hugs and Happy Crafting

DYSU Challenge #70

Hello all - I'm back!!!!  The move went well, all boxes have been unpacked and I am ready to start crafting again (although I am still getting used to the new craft room and spending far too much time trying to find things - lol).

So, as today is Thursday, it can only mean it's time for another challenge over at Do You Stack Up? and this week's theme is CIRCLES.

Close-up of the cute image
