DYSU Challenge #65

Good Morning,
It's time for another challenge over at  Do You Stack Up? and our theme this week  is "Sew It" -  real or faux we don't mind as long as we can see a stitching theme to your card.

 Our sponsors this week are......

Dearie Dolls Digi Stamps - Winner's choice of 4 images

Michelle's Scrapbooking and More - $10 Gift Certificate

Amber Ink - $15 Gift Certificate

I have used this sweet little image from Dearie Dolls called "Friends Needlework" and have included a fair amount of hand-stitching on the card.  I have also distressed the edges of the paper in an attempt at making it look a bit like frayed fabric - lol !! And I have used a piece of embroidery linen behind the mounted image.

 Close-up detail of my stitching.

Ingredients:
Medium - Promarkers and chalk
Papers - Magnolia "Sweet Rainbow"
Ribbon and buttons - Papermania Capsule Collection
Linen fabric -  stash from my cross stitching days!

So that is me done now for a little while. Please do take a look at the rest of the DT's brilliant work over at the Do You Stack Up? blog and be inspired to join our fun challenge. There are some great prizes up for grabs.

I shall see you all later, as soon as I have completed my move and been re-connected to the internet.
Happy Crafting

The Pixie Cottage Challenge #114

Good Morning All
This is my last DT card for The Pixie Cottage and I want to thank Michelle for giving me the opportunity to be part of a great team and to use some wonderful stamps. It's been fun and I will miss all you lovely ladies on the team.

I must also explain my absence from blogland this past week. I am moving to a brand new property on 2nd April and as you can imagine, have been up to my eyeballs in boxes!!! Not to mention the hassle involved in moving services etc . This will also mean I shall be without an internet connection for a while but I promise to catch up with you all as soon as I am back online.

Now for my Pixie Cottage card. The challenge this week is "Cuddly Critters" and the optional sketch is this.......

Remember, you can use either or both.

I have used the theme and the sketch for my card and this gorgeous stamp is called "Best Hugs". You can find it here in The Pixie Cottage range of stamps.  These really are cuddly critters!!!

Ingredients:
Medium - Promarkers
Papers - MME Fiddlesticks
Buttons, twine and cardstock - stash
Sentiment - Daisy & Dandelion - Onion Plays Footie set

That's all from me for today. Sorry for such a short post - lots still to get done!!  I hope you will pop on over to The Pixie Cottage and join in this fun challenge.
Bye, bye for now. I shall be back tomorrow with my card for the DYSU challenge and then be MIA for a while.
Hugs

DYSU Challenge #63

Morning all - time for another challenge over at Do You Stack Up? and this week we want you to Use Your Favourite Colour.

This week we have three very generous sponsors..........

Karen's Doodles - Winner's Choice of 3 Digis

Little Darlings - $10 gift certificate

For my card this week, I have used this totally gorgeous "Delicate Dancer" from A Day For Daisies which I have had for quite some time and have been dying to colour up. Now choosing your favourite colour may sound easy but when you have more than one, two or even three favourite colours, the choice becomes quite difficult!!!!  So, I went with a couple of favourites - aqua and pink which I love putting together with black. I have kept the card fairly simple so as to show off this beautiful image.

Have you ever done something with an image and swore you would not do it again and then, go ahead and do it again because you forgot what happened the first time?  Well, that is exactly what I did with this card - I Stickled the pom-poms on her dress and then remembered too late that it causes the ink to bleed - grrrrr.  Hence the black splodges!!!!  They don't actually look that bad in real life but next time I will use glue and loose glitter - lol.

Ingredients:
Medium - Promarkers
Papers - BoBunny "Persuasion"
Doily - Ribbonbox
Ribbon, cardstock and gems - stash
Sentiment - TLC  freebie

So that is my little piece of inspiration for this week's challenge. Do take a look at the rest of the team's favourite colours and then show us yours.  There are some great prizes to be had for three lucky winners and also the Top 3 picks - one of which will be asked to be a future Guest Designer.
Thank you once again for popping by.
Happy crafting
Denise xx

I have used another sweet Buffy stamp called "Girly Girl Buffy" which you can find here in Michelle's Scrapbooking and More under The Pixie Cottage Stamps range. I really love this little bunny and she comes with a sentiment.

I have added glitter to her dress and headband but it's not really showing up too well in the picture. There is also some glitter on the pink paper, again not showing up too well :0(

Digi Doodle Shop Challenge #98

Back again.
This time to tell you about this week's challenge over at Digi Doodle Shop Challenges where our theme is ANIMALS. Cute or realisitic, the choice is yours.

I chose cute...and this is one really cute hippo :0) She is called "Tu TU Shy" and you can find her here in The Digi Doodle Shop.  Now before you go yelling "but hippos aren't pink, they're grey" take a look at the picture at the end of this post.  They are definitely pink!!!  I am not that happy with this photo - the gorgeous checked ribbon is an exact match to the colours I have used but looks so much darker than in real life. Also, I really am not sure about the roses - I seem to struggle with flowers on my cards and always wish I had not used them :0(  Too late now though - they are well and truly stuck on. I have also just realised the lovely little ballet shoe charm I attached has hidden itself beneath the bow grrrrr.

This is a close-up of my pink hippo!!!  I just adore her cute face and beautiful big eyes.

Ingredients:
Medium - Promarkers and chalk
Papers - Dovecraft "Princess and Fairytale" and Craft Creations Polka Dots
Sentiment - Woodware Clear Stamp "Sweet Tooth" set
Corner and leaves die - Memory Box
Tab die - Die-namics
Ribbon and charm - Ribbonbox
Pearls and cardstock - stash
Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts

The rest of Team Karen have created some beautiful cards this week so please do take a look and we would love you to enter this great challenge.  There are some gorgeous animal stamps in the shop so why not take a look at those too. Remember, if you choose to use a Digi Doodle Shop image, you get two entries into the challenge.

DYSU Challenge #61

Oh my, Thursday again and the start of a new month - where is the time going!!!  Our challenge this week at Do You Stack Up? has the theme of Things With Wings - endless possibilities with this one!!

We have two great sponsors this week ......

Paper Pretties - Winner's choice of 6 digital images

Copic Marker - 6 copic ciao markers (North/South America), Martha Stewart punch (rest of the world)

I got to choose my own image this week and went for this gorgeous one from D'Arcy's Diaries - I am totally in love with these at the moment. They are so quirky and yet very pretty. They are from the same lady as the Teddy Bo images and I totally love those too :0)

Close up of the image - I have glittered the heart and part of her wings.  The glitter looks so much nicer in real life - this photo really does not do it any justice, in fact I think it just makes the wings look dirty :0(  I haven't had a chance to decorate the inside yet but will do when I get the chance.

Recipe:
Medium - Promarkers
Papers - Pink Petticoat "Old Fashioned Girl - For Him"
Roses - Cut on the Cameo and hand rolled
Feathers, glitter and pearls - stash

I really hope you can join us for this great challenge and look forward to seeing all your gorgeous entries. The rest of the team have made some beautiful cards for your inspiration so make sure you pop over to the challenge blog and take a look.

Before I go, I want to say welcome to my two new followers. I hope you continue to enjoy your visits xxx

Thanks once again for looking.
