Digi Doodle Shop Challenge #92

Hello again!!
Back again, this time with my DT card for Digi Doodle Shop Challenges where we have everyone's favourite theme this week - Anything Goes!!

I went for this lovely image of Poppies for my card as I do so love colouring them - all those gorgeous reds and oranges!!! I also did a bit of masking so that I could stamp the script behind them.

You can find this lovely image in the Digi Doodle Shop in the Floral/Greenery section.  It is called Poppy & Bud.

and this is the inside.

Recipe:
Medium - Promarkers and Old Paper Distress Ink
Papers and ribbon - stash
Script stamp - Viva Decor My Paper World "Letters & Embellishments"
Sentiment - Craftwork Cards

Right, that's me done for today. I really hope you will enter one (or more) of your gorgeous creations into this week's challenge at Digi Doodle Shop Challenges and while you are there, take a look at the rest of the girl's projects and leave them some love :0)
Happy, happy crafting!

DYSU Challenge #56

It's time again for a new challenge over at Do You Stack Up? and our theme this week is RIBBONS.  I bet we all have yards and yards of lovely ribbon in our stash, so let's get them out and put them to some good use!!

We have four wonderful sponsors this week and they are.......

The Ribbon Reel - £10 Gift Voucher

Dearie Dolls Digi Stamps - Winner's choice of  4 images

Crafty Sentiments Designs - Winner's choice of 4 images

The Stamping Boutique - Winner's choice of 5 images

I got to use this gorgeous "Smoochie"  image from The Stamping Boutique and made a centre step card as I haven't made one of these for ages!!  The ribbon I have used was already pleated and the flower was made by simply gathering a length and stitching it together. Simple but quite effective me thinks!!

Isn't she sweet. If you would like to buy her or one of the other Smoochies - you can find them HERE - they are all real cuties.

Recipe:
Medium - Promarkers
Papers - Echo Park Springtime - Floral Fun
Ribbon, buttons and cardstock - stash
Sentiment - Craftwork Cards

The rest of the DT have made some beautiful cards so I do hope you can find the time to pop over to the DYSU Challenge blog and take a look. Hopefully, you will be inspired by their gorgeousness and will enter a gorgeous creation of your own :0)  I look forward to seeing it.

Well that's all from me for now. I shall be back later with my Digi Doodle Shop DT card but until then, thank you so much for looking.

Dance A Little Everyday

The lovely Lisa over at Wishcraft has vowed to use a stamp or digi image that has never seen the light of day, every Wednesday and has invited everyone to join her.  I have stacks of uninked stamps and unprinted digis so thought this was a brilliant idea and have tried to take part each week.

This week I was determined to use one of my gorgeous Saturated Canary digis and this is what I came up with.........

This is Zorana, A Dancing Gypsy and I am totally in love with her. She is such fun to colour although I will admit I was totally intimidated by her hair - lol!!   It took me soooo long to colour but I am very pleased with the final result :0)  I also got to use some gorgeous papers that I have had for simply ages!!

Recipe:
Medium - Promarkers (some with fine nibs!!)
Papers - Fancy Pants Wishful Thinking - Pretty Plaid (reverse side) and Sprinkles (both sides)
Flowers -  Prima
Die cut circle - Spellbinders Floral Doily Motifs
Border and tag - Magnolia Doohickey
Sentiment - Freebie found on my computer with no name
Branches -  Martha Stewart punch
Ribbon - stash
Heart pins - Wild Orchid Crafts (coloured with a Promarker)

Why not join in and use up some of those neglected stamps or images - I am sure we all have them. You can link your card on Lisa's blog each week.  Well that's all from me for now. Have fun deciding which stamp you are going to use!!!

DDSC Challenge #91

Good afternoon!!
Back again with my DT card for this week's challenge over at Digi Doodle Shop Challenges. We have a colour theme this week of BLUE & BROWN

This gorgeous image is called simply "Morning Glories" and can be found HERE in the Digi Doodle Shop.  Now, I must tell you that this card caused me some problems!!  I originally printed the image onto white card and coloured it with Promarkers but found the flowers were lost due to the brown of the fence.  After several further attempts and still not being happy with the end result, I decided to print it onto kraft card and colour it with pencils. I am still not that happy with this either - I think the flowers could have been a bit darker or maybe I should have used a different shade of blue paper?? Either way,  it is definitely better than all the others!!

Recipe:
Medium - Derwent pencils
Papers - some freebie digis I have on my computer with no name!!
Ribbon - stash
Sentiment - Craftwork Cards coloured with Vintage Photo Distress ink

I really hope you take a look at the rest of the team's gorgeous creations and feel inspired to enter the challenge. Blue and brown is a great colour combo and perfect for men's cards!!

Happy crafting

DYSU Challenge #55

Good morning Bloggers,
We had some gorgeous entries for last week's challenge over at Do You Stack Up and it is official - we all love pink!! This week we want to see PATTERNS!!  Whether you use patterned design paper or create your own, we want to see some colourful creations.

Our sponsors this week are:

My Little Shoebox - Surprise Goodie Bag

Copic Marker Scrapbooking -  6 Copic Ciao Markers (North/South America) Martha Stewart punch (rest of the world)

This week a few of the team got to use some really fun digi images of owls from Copic Marker Scrapbooking on our projects and this is what I came up with.  Once again, I am so sorry for the lousy picture, I really am having problems at the moment getting good ones :0(  This card is much brighter IRL.   I kept it quite simple and went for some paper piecing to match the background papers and a punny sentiment!!!

and this is the inside - the colour is a bit better on this pic!!

Recipe:
Papers - Nitwits "Thimbles & Threads"
Sentiment - generated on my computer
Ribbon and googly eyes - stash.

So now it's over to you. Do take a look at the great creations from the rest of the team and join in with us for this great challenge. We all have patterned papers after all!!

Thanks for looking.

The Pixie Cottage Challenge #104

Good Morning All,
It's time for this week's challenge over at The Pixie Cottage and as usual, we have a choice for you - the theme of  EMBOSSING or the wonderful sketch below.  Of course, you can combine the two if you want to!!  I have used the theme for my card.

This little cutie is called "Give Me a Hug" and can be found HERE at Michelle's Scrapbooking and More in The Pixie Cottage range of rubber stamps. Love that little pup she is hugging!! I really enjoyed making this card - she was a joy to colour and paper piece. I have taken to using white card coloured with a matching Promarker for my matting - so much easier than trying to match a coloured card - you don't need to buy so many different ones and you never run out of a particular colour - unless your Promarker runs out of course - LOL!!

Close-up showing her paper pieced dress.

And the simple decoration on the inside.

Recipe:
Medium - Promarkers
Papers - Docrafts Me to You Spring Chic
Embossing Folder - Craft Concepts "Budding Vine" - love this
Mini pearls and ribbon - stash
Flowers - Woodware punches
Sentiment - Craftwork Cards

We had some great entries for last week's challenge and I am looking forward to seeing what you create this week. Take a look at the rest of the DT's gorgeous offerings and be inspired - you can find them all on The Pixie Cottage Challenge blog.
Thanks for looking and for all your lovely comments.

Butterfly - Martha Stewart punch
