DDSC Challenge #91

Good afternoon!!
Back again with my DT card for this week's challenge over at Digi Doodle Shop Challenges. We have a colour theme this week of BLUE & BROWN

This gorgeous image is called simply "Morning Glories" and can be found HERE in the Digi Doodle Shop.  Now, I must tell you that this card caused me some problems!!  I originally printed the image onto white card and coloured it with Promarkers but found the flowers were lost due to the brown of the fence.  After several further attempts and still not being happy with the end result, I decided to print it onto kraft card and colour it with pencils. I am still not that happy with this either - I think the flowers could have been a bit darker or maybe I should have used a different shade of blue paper?? Either way,  it is definitely better than all the others!!

Recipe:
Medium - Derwent pencils
Papers - some freebie digis I have on my computer with no name!!
Ribbon - stash
Sentiment - Craftwork Cards coloured with Vintage Photo Distress ink

I really hope you take a look at the rest of the team's gorgeous creations and feel inspired to enter the challenge. Blue and brown is a great colour combo and perfect for men's cards!!

Happy crafting
Hugs
Denise xx

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Whimsy Inspiration #22 - Blue & Brown
Lexi's Creations #56 - Anything Goes

I think your colouring and choice of papers is absolutely fabulous Denise. I love the effect of colouring onto Kraft card - it gives a lovely soft rustic feel, which is perfect for the "fence" on your card.
A super card - love it!

I love how this turned out! I think printing it on kraft and using colored pencils was a fabulous decision. It gives it kind of a vintage feel, which is nice because of the softness of the dp. Absolutely lovely!
