Final Challenge for Do You Stack Up?...

Good Morning All,
I hope you had a very Happy Christmas and that Santa brought you loads of crafting goodies!!

After all the fun and happiness of Christmas, this is a very sad post as it's the last one I shall be writing for Do You Stack Up?. Alison has decided to close the DYSU Challenge blog due to her acrylic stamp company "The Alley Way Stamps"  now taking up so much of her time.  I am so pleased for Alison but at the same time so sorry to see DYSU go. This was my very first DT post and I have been with it since the beginning :0(

So, for our very last challenge we have the theme of "TURQUOISE" and I really hope you will all play along with us this week and send us off with a bang!

Our lovely final sponsors are:-

Rhoda Design Studio - $15 Gift Certificate to spend on cutting files or digis

Sweet 'n Sassy - $10 Gift Certificate

The Stamping Boutique (who are also sadly closing at the end of the year) - Winner's choice of 3 digis

Elizabeta Kushner - Winner's choice of 3 digis

For my card this week, I have used the sweet "Eskimo Kisses" from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps - so, so easy to colour up!! I have made a rocker card and kept the design fairly simple.

Close up of the adorable image.

Ingredients:-
Medium - Promarkers
Paper - Dovecraft Back to Basics Christmas Modern
Snowflakes - MS punch
Glitter - Stickles and Glamour Dust
Card - cut with a Grand Scalloped Circle

Well, that's all from me for today except to say thank you to all who have entered our challenges over the last two years - I have really enjoyed seeing all of your fabulous creations. I also want to say thank you to Alison for asking me to join her team and to all of the past and present DYSU Team Members - you girls really rock and I shall miss you all.........what am I going to do on a Thursday - lol!!
Happy Crafting

DYSU? Challenge #103

Good Morning All,
I am happy to report that I am feeling a whole lot better than I was this time last week - the cold really knocked me out for a few days. Thank you for your get well wishes.

So, it's Thursday again and time for our penultimate challenge over at Do You Stack Up  :0(   and this week is everyone's favourite "ANYTHING GOES".

and we have three lovely sponsors ..........

Robyn's Fetish - Winner's choice of 5 digital stamps

Gecko Galz - Winner's choice of 1 digital stamp set

My Heart Pieces - Winner's choice of 3 digital satamps

This fabulous Santa comes from My Heart Pieces and was such fun to colour. I have kept the card quite simple as the image itself is fairly detailed. Just a couple of papers, a glittery ribbon and some die cut, glittered snowflakes and the card was finished. To be honest, I don't think I could have come up with much more feeling as ill as I did with the cold!!

Here's a close-up of Santa and his sweet reindeer.  You can just about see the glitter I added to the fur on Santa's outfit.

Ingredients:-
Medium - Promarkers
Papers - Papermania "Home for Christmas"
Glitter - Star Dust Stickles and Glamour Dust
Ribbon - stash
Snowflakes - Marianne Design dies

I hope you can find some crafting time during this hectic week to join us for our challenge and I look forward to seeing your lovely creations.  Do take a look at what the rest of the team have made for your inspiration.
We shall be back next Thursday with our FINAL challenge.
Hugs and Happy Crafting

Sorry!!!

This is just a quick post to all of my lovely followers - I am so sorry I have not been round to see any of you these past few days but the cold I was starting on Thursday has really taken hold and left me feeling totally drained of energy. My head is thumping, my eyes are sore and I get the shivers each time I move and I have got through a box of tissues and am on my second one (looking for sympathy here - LOL). I promise I shall visit you all next week when (hopefully) I feel better.
Hugs to you all.

Stampendous Frantage Aged Gold Embossing Enamel and Frantage Aged Silver Embossing Enamel

This week I decided to make a Christmas tag using the Frantage Aged Gold and Silver embossing enamels from Stampendous. I stamped the Harlequin design with Versamark and embossed with the gold. The edges and parts of the centre of the tag were then smeared with the Versamark pad and I sprinkled gold and silver randomly over these areas.

Close up of the embossing showing the gold and silver powders which also contain black to give the aged look - gorgeous.

Ingredients:-
Tag - stash

DYSU Challenge #98

Good Morning,
Hope you are all well and ready for our latest challenge over at Do You Stack Up? Our theme this week is "RAINBOWS" . This can be interpreted in many ways - bright, colourful designs or maybe a rainbow image. Can't wait to see your interpretation.

Our generous sponsors this week are.......

Uniko Studio - £15 Gift Certificate

The Alley Way Stamps - $20 Gift Certificate

How often do you visualise a card in your head only to find that the finished result is not what you had pictured at all? Well this card is one of those!! I have used a Uniko Studio Digi paper set called "Eclectic Mix Summer" which contains some gorgeously bright, modern designs but I was not at all happy with this card. In fact this is about the third design I came up with and still was not happy - LOL - so I decided to make another one.

And this one I am really happy with. I have used the butterfly and one of the sentiments from the "English Country Garden" digital stamp set which contains some lovely verses and images. As you can see, I am still in CAS mode and am really enjoying these style of cards at the moment.

Close up of the somewhat fanciful butterfly :0)

Ingredients:-
Medium - Promarkers
Heart Shapes - cut on my Cricut
Heart Card Sentiment - generated on the computer
Border - Memory Box Summer Border Die
Ribbon - stash
Card - The Papermill

So these are my Rainbow creations and if you want to see even more, pop on over to the DYSU Challenge blog. The rest of the team have created some beauties for your inspiration. That's all from me for today - thank you so much for looking.

Little Ballet Bea

Good Morning,
Happy Friday to you all!!  Today I want to share a card I have made using an adorable Teddy Bea image that I won recently.

Quite different from my last card - lots of detail going on in this one!!  I'm not really a hearts and flowers type of girl and really do struggle when a card calls for flowers as this one really did.  So, needless to say, this card took me ages to make.  The gorgeous image - Teddy Bea 214 - was such fun to colour and really took no time at all, it was the rest of the card that caused the problems. I tried so many different layouts that I had to walk away from it and come back the next day :0)  Got there in the end though!!

Teddy Bea's close-up shot!!

Most of the cards I have seen using her have coloured her in pink so I thought I would go for something completely different and as the papers I have used are some of my all time faves, coloured her to match.  I have added some Glamour Dust to her skirt but it is not really showing up in the pictures.

Ingredients:-
Medium - Promarkers, Derwent Pencils and Weathered Wood DI
Papers - Prima Jack & Jill Collection "Ode To Joy"
Flowers - Prima Sprites 3
Flower centres - Memory Box Cherry Blossom
Butterfly - Martha Stewart Punch
Card - Martha Stewart Around The Page Punch
Flourishes - Memory Box Macarena Corner
Bow - Seam Binding coloured with Promarker to match
Pearls, Brads and Lace - stash

So that's my little offering for today. I hope you like it :0)
Hugs

DYSU? Challenge #97

Good Morning All,
Time again for another challenge over at Do You Stack Up? and this week our theme is LEAVES AND TREES - so we want to see all of your gorgeous takes on leafy/tree designs.

and our generous sponsors for this challenge are........

Hope Jacare - Choice of 3 digital images

Pink Cat Studio - Choice of 5 digital images

Tiddly Inks - $12 Gift Certificate

As I really enjoyed making a CAS card last week for my Guest Designer spot at In The Pink, I thought I would make another one for my DYSU? inspiration card this week. This gorgeous image is from Pink Cat Studio and is called "Love Birds on Swing". The actual word "love" has been added by me in my graphics program before printing the image. A simple black mat with a punched border, a red ribbon and heart shaped gem completes the card - really simple!!!

Close up of the adorable Love Birds.

Ingredients:-
Card - The Papermill
Border Punch - Martha Stewart
Ribbon and gem - stash

So that's my take on a leafy/tree design - I'm looking forward to seeing yours. The rest of the DYSU DT have created some gorgeous cards for your further inspiration so do take a look and leave them some love.
