This week we have a huge celebration in store! Do You Stack Up? is one year old and we are ready to party! For this challenge, we want to see a Rainbow of Colors! on your project, so you need to use at least 3 colours from the Inspiration Photo below.

My inspiration this week uses a gorgeous digi stamp from Pink Cat Studios called "Lily as Rapunzel".  As soon as I saw this image I knew it was perfect for a bookmark, so I made two for my granddaughters. I attached the little circle message to the top of the bookmark with a peg so that they can clip the whole thing to the page. The image is coloured with Promarkers and the pegs I used came from Hobbycraft. Not much more to tell you really, these were so simple to make!!!!

With the last challenge of the year comes some good-byes and hellos. Miranda and Heather will be moving on to other creative ventures in the new year. I wish you both well and want to let you know that I and the team will miss you dearly! We will also have some new team members, check out the blog to see who they are.

I hope you will help us celebrate our 1st Birthday by joining us for this week's great challenge - we have some fantastic prizes up for grabs from our nine wonderful sponsors and the rest of the team has created some beautiful inspiration for you :0)

DDSC # 88 - Anything Goes

Back again - this time with my card for this week's Digi Doodle Shop Challenge where we have everyone's favourite theme of ANYTHING GOES.  This challenge will run for two weeks.

For this challenge, I have chosen this lovely image called "Fairy and Daisy".  The shaped card is a shop bought one which matched the Spellbinder die perfectly and I have covered the whole card in paper. As per my previous card, I have gone overboard with the flowers - lol!!

Close-up of the image.

Decided not to cover the whole of the inside - too much fiddly cutting!!!

Recipe:
Medium - Promarkers, Flexmarkers, yellow chalk and Worn Lipstick Distress Ink
DP - Prima "Fairy Flora"
Card and Sentiment - Craftwork Cards
Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts
Leaves - Hobbycaft
Butterfly - Martha Stewart punch - coloured with Promarkers
Pearls and pink heart doily - stash

Right, that's all from me for this week - please pop on over to Digi Doodle Shop Challenges and take a peek at the rest of the Team's gorgeous work and remember, this challenge runs for two weeks so you have plenty of time to enter - :0)

DYSU #51 - Stripes

Good Morning lovely Bloggers,
I hope you have all managed to finish your Christmas preparations and are relaxing now!!!!! I am off to my Daughter's tomorrow and won't be home until mid next week so please forgive me if I don't comment on your blogs for a while. I promise to catch up when I get back.
Our challenge this week at Do You Stack Up? is STRIPES - striped paper, striped design, striped ribbon or even striped flowers -  :0)

Our lovely sponsors this week are:

The Craft's Meow - Winner's choice of 1 stamp set

Prairie Fairy Designs - $15 Gift Certificate

I was sent this gorgeous stamp from The Craft's Meow called "Little Frieda's Daisy" which comes with three sentiments - one of which I have also used. This card really was a labour of love - the scalloped card has been constructed from a circle and smaller punched circles stuck around the edges - took me ages!!!! (Please Santa - can I have a Grand Calibre for Christmas - hehe). I also decided to go overboard with the flowers.

Close-up of this sweet image showing the paper pieced dress.

Recipe:
Medium - Promarkers and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink
DPs - Papermania Capsule Collection - Aqua
Flowers  and ribbon - stash
Carsdstock - stash - white coloured with Distress Ink

Hopefully you will have some time for playing over the Christmas holiday and we really would love for you to join us for this challenge. Do take a look at the rest of the Design Team's work - they have created some beauties for your inspiration.

That's it from me for now. I will be back later with my Digi Doodle Shop DT card.

DDSC #87 - Paper Piercing

If you are looking for my Pixie Cottage Blog Hop post....go HERE!!

Back again - this time with my DT card for Digi Doodle Shop Challenges, where this week we want to see some PAPER PIERCING on your creations.

This was a first for me but I must say it was great fun - I haven't gone overboard with the piercing but did do some around the image and a couple of flourishes on the corner of the papers. I don't own any paper piercing templates so searched the internet for some patterns, printed one out on paper and just pricked through the design. I had some pricking tools which I had bought an age ago when I fancied trying Pergamano (never got very far with this though - far too impatient!!)

The image I have used is called "Fairy in Flight" and you can get her here in the Digi Doodle Shop.

Close-ups showing the sparkle and the piercing .

And the inside.

Recipe:
Medium - Promarkers
Papers - Wild Rose Studios - Butterfly Garden Stack (candy win from Dawny P xx)
Swirl - Doohickey Die
Flowers, cardstock, tiny pearls, brads and ribbon - stash
Butterfly - Martha Stewart punch
Glitter - Diamond Sparkles - Butterfly Trails (Hunky Dory)

If you are unsure about paper piercing, please take a look at the rest of the teams creations. The piercing is very varied and their cards are sure to inspire you to join in with this challenge. I really hope you do :0)
Thanks once again for looking.
Hugs and Happy Piercing!!

DDSC #86 - Nature

Hello again!!
The theme this week over at Digi Doodle Shop Challenges is "NATURE"- an easy one for you. This can include any animal, bird, fish, flower, tree - the list really is endless!!

As I have not quite finished my Christmas cards, I chose this Cardinal for my DT creation this week. The image does have some flowers on the end of the branch but I decided to cover them with the poinsettia, which was originally white but I coloured it with a Promarker.

A close-up of the image - I searched the internet for pictures of Red Cardinals, so I hope I have done this beautiful bird justice with my colouring - lol.   I have added some glitter to the branch for a snow effect but its not showing up that well in the pictures.

For the inside, I added a tag to write a message on.

Recipe:
Medium - Promarkers, Derwent Pencils and Old Paper Distress Ink
Papers - some freebies I got last year from a magazine
Poinsettia and Sentiment - Craftwork Cards (again from last year)
Holly - cut on the Cricut
Red sparkly leaves - cut from a Christmas decoration
Pearls - stash (also coloured with Promarkers)
Tag - cut on the Cricut

If you haven't got any Nature themed images, The Digi Doodle Shop is having a great sale at the moment - 25% off all images - so why not take a look and see if there is anything you might like. They have some really wonderful digis. The rest of the girls on the DT have created some gorgeous cards, so please pop over to Digi Doodle Shop Challenges and be inspired.

Thanks for popping by.
Hugs

DYSU #49 - Something Old

Oh my, Thursday again!! Where are the weeks going????  Our theme this week over at Do You Stack Up? is "SOMETHING OLD".  This can be something truly old or just a vintage style or image.

We have two great sponsors this week  -

Saturated Canary - Winner's choice of 2 digis

Gecko GalzPrize package containing a pack of paper of the winners choice, 4 collage sets of the winners choice, a stamp set of the winners choice, and vintage pearl button pack, vintage lace, and Gecko Galz fibers

I got to use this fantastic image from Saturated Canary (love, love, love Krtista's images) called "Sprocket the Steampunk Aviator" and decided to make a steampunk./grunge style card. This is my second attempt at this card - the first one was completely made and idiot that I am, I knocked a bottle of ink all over it - arrrrrgh. I could have cried. So now I am not that happy with this second attempt but just did not have time to make another one :0(

  Close up of the image.

Inside of the card.

Recipe:
Medium - Promarkers and Tea Dye Distress Ink
Papers - digis from my computer (no names I'm afraid)
