The Pixie Cottage Challenge #98

Hi All,

Just popping on to remind you that today is the day for a new challenge over at The Pixie Cottage. Our theme is Holiday Decor - No Cards and/or this wonderful sketch. This weeks challenge is a little different. We'd like to see your Holiday Decor items such as ornaments, banners, table arrangements etc. or we'd like a card using the sketch. If you submit a card instead of the decor item then it must follow the sketch. The randomly picked winner will win two stamps of their choice from the Pixie Cottage Collection.

Do check out the challenge blog - there is a fabulous Saturday Tutorial by Tanya for a gorgeous Gift Card Envelope AND Michelle has some great new stock in her shop. Oh and of course, there will be all the fab creations by the rest of the DT!!

That's all from me for today. Back tomorrow with some DT cards.

DDSC #84 - Animals

As Judy, owner of the Digi Doodle Shop is running a special this month on all animal stamps and donating money to Pet Pardons, we decided to make our theme for this week at  Digi Doodle Shops Challenges - Animals!!  Now how easy is that?  You can make any animal themed project you fancy and if you don't have any animal stamps, then pop over to the shop as there is 25% off all animal stamps at the moment :0)

And this is what I made!!  This cute digi stamp is called "Sleeping Kitten and Mouse (Cecil)" and don't they look cosy. There are so many animal stamps in the shop, that I had a real hard time choosing - LOL.

Just love the smile on kitty's face :0)

And as per - the inside

Recipe:
Medium - Promarkers and Flexmarkers
Papers - Daisy & Dandelion A5 Paper Collection "Picnic Patch"
Nesty - Heart Circle (coloured with a Promarker)
Border Punch - Martha Stewart
Ribbon and pearl heart - stash

The rest of the DT have produced some amazing creations to inspire you so do please pop on over to the blog and check them out.  To join the challenge you don’t have to use a Digi Doodle Shop image, but if you do, your entry will count twice.  The winner gets a $10 gift certificate from Digi Doodle Shop.

So that is all from me for today. Once again, thank you so much for looking and happy crafting.

The Pixie Cottage Challenge #97

It's time for another challenge at The Pixie Cottage and this week we want you to Make A Set. This can be a set of Christmas cards or tags or a Christmas card and matching box. We also have a fab sketch so you can do either or combine the two.

This week I chose to make a set of tags........

I have used this cute Pixie Cottage rubber stamp called "Hanging Around Mouse" which you can buy from Michelle's Scrapbooking and More. You will find it here. I have used Kraft card and coloured the image with Derwent pencils which was a first for me and I am quite pleased with the end result  :0)

I just love this cute little mouse!!  I added some glitter to the fur on the stocking and stamped a sentiment on the side of the tag, threaded ribbon through the hole and there you have it, a simple tag. Repeat three times more and voila - a set of tags !!! Oh and I also gave his little nose the glossy accent treatment but it's not showing up in the picture  :0(  I really enjoyed making these on Kraft card and will definitely be using it again.

I hope you will take a look at the rest of the DT's gorgeous creations and join us for this great challenge. I look forward to seeing what you create and remember, the winner gets to choose two stamps from the Pixie Cottage Collection.

So, that's all from me for today - thank you so much for looking.

Mmmmmm - Apple Pie

Hi All,
Happy Friday to ya!!  Today I want to showcase a new digital image from The Pixie Cottage called "My Oh My - Apple Pie" which you can find at Michelle's Scrapbooking and More.

Cute or what?

It also fits in perfectly with the challenge over at Papertake Weekly which is "When is a Card Not a Card......"

When it's a recipe card of course !!!

As this recipe is for good old apple pie, I decided to give the card a country feel by using kraft cardstock and fabric effect papers. Oh and not forgetting gingham hearts of course. I was really quite pleased with how it turned out :0)

Recipe for the Recipe Card!!!
Medium - Promarkers and Flexmarkers
Papers - Nitwits
Kraft Cardstock - Papermania
Gingham hearts - stash
Sentiment - computer generated
Lacy border - Martha Stewart punch

Well, that's my offering for today.  Have a great weekend and I'll see you next week some time. I'm off to Louise's later today and will spend the weekend Charity collecting for Macmillan in her local shopping centre.
Hugs

I am also entering this card into:
Scrap Affair - Recipe Cards
Anything Goes Challenge #54 - A Real Sweetie

DDSC #83 - Red and Green

If you are looking for my DYSU post - please scroll down :0)

Our theme this week over at Digi Doodle Shop Challenges is perfect for this time of year - Red and Green. I'm sure we are all using these colours on at least some of our Christmas projects, so this should be an easy challenge for all of you :0)

I have used this very traditional  image called "Christmas Door" which is available in the Digi Doodle Shop here and made an easel card.

I added glossy accents to the hearts on the border, the window panels and baubles on the wreath but I'm afraid this does not show up all that well in the photos :0(    This image was a real joy to colour and would work just as well with non-traditional Christmas colours.

Recipe:
Medium - Promarkers and Flexmarkers
Papers - Part of a candy win
Swirl - Magnolia Doohickey
Greenery - Martha Stewart  Branch punch
Ribbon, cardstock and brads - stash
Sentiment - Craftwork Cards

I really hope you visit Digi Doodle Shop Challenges this week and play along with us. The rest of the DT have created some gorgeous projects - and please don't think yours has to be Christmas themed. Just so long as you have used red and green, we don't mind what you make!!!

Finally, before I go, I need to remind you that the November Special is still running -  All you have to do is spend $7.00 anywhere in the store and you'll get the FREE gift. You will need to add the gift to your cart though to get it!! On top of that, there is a 25% discount on all animal stamps. Doesn't get much better than that. So far, $54 has been raised for Pet Pardons but I'm sure you can help up that amount.

So, that is all from me for today.
Thanks once again for looking.
Hugs

I created some texture with embossed panels and flowers and completed the card using a strip of lace, nestability circle, pearly buckle and some gems. Oh and some blue matting.
