Digi Doodle Shop Challenges #65 - Anything Goes

My second post today is my DT card for Digi Doodle Shop Challenges which this week is everyone's favourite - Anything Goes  :0)

I have used this gorgeous image from the shop called "Spring Gathering" and coloured her with Promarkers. The backing paper is from a Prima 6" x 6" stack - Fairy Flora - Sunlight Daisies - gorgeous!! I have matted it onto plain green card, added three gems to the corner and glittered around the edge. I also added some glitter to the centre of the flowers on the image.
The tiny flowers are some Louise had in her stash and I have added glitter to the petals and tiny gems to the centres.
The bow is made from seam binding coloured with a Promarker and the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.
The rest of the design team have created some amazing samples to inspire you so please do make sure you pop over to the Challenge blog and take a look. We are all looking forward to seeing what you create.
That's all from me for today.
Happy Crafting

DYSU Challenge #26 - Square

Good Morning All,
This week's challenge theme over at Do You Stack Up is "Square" so we want to see your square shaped creations. You can use square patterned papers, square designs or even square buttons - the choices are endless.

And as usual, we have some wonderful sponsors:

Stretch 'N Bubbles who is giving 4 Single Digi Images

The Stamping Boutique who is giving  5 Digis - Winners Choice

Stitchy Bear who is giving a $10 gift voucher for Stitchy Bear, Floppy Latte and Ginger Loft

My card this week uses a Tracey Malnofski image from the Stamping Boutique called "Stacked Presents". As it was obviously a rectangular image, I decided to go with a square background and used this digi paper from Tiddlyinks' Gothic Girls paper set. The image has been coloured using Promarkers and the stamped messages are various rubber stamps I have in my stash.

I used a quickie glue pen and crystal ice glitter to decorate parts of the image and went around the whole thing with a Promarker just to make it stand out a bit. Quick and easy - just the way I like it :0)

So now over to you - take a look at the rest of the DT's offerings, get some inspiration from them and join in!! I look forward to seeing your makes. On a sadder note, we will be saying goodbye to two of our teamies, Jo and Janna, who are moving on to pastures new. They will be greatly missed and I want to wish them good luck in their new ventures.

Digi Doodle Shop Challenges #64 – Sketch

Back again!!  This time with my card for Digi Doodle Shop Challenges.  We have a great sketch for you this week and I can’t wait to see what you come up with.
For this week, I have used this gorgeous image of a cute baby girl which can be found here in the Digi Doodle Shop. Coloured as usual, with Promarkers and matted onto a gorgeous heart circle from Spellbinder. The papers are all from a 6" x 6" paper stack that came free with Papercraft Essentials, matted onto a dark pink cardstock.

To complete the card, I threaded some thin white satin ribbon through some lovely pink sparkly buttons and stuck them onto some papers flowers I had in my stash - and there you have it!! I hope you like :0)

The rest of the DT have created some gorgeous inspiration for you so please do take a look at the blog and play along with us. Remember you don't have to use a Digi Doodle Shop image but if you do, you get a second entry so why not take a look at what is available in the shop and double your chances!!
Once again, thanks for looking.

DYSU Challenge # 25 – Mauve, Mustard and Pink

Hi All,
It’s Thursday again and so time for another great challenge over at Do You Stack Up. We have a colour theme for you this week – Mauve, Mustard and Pink.

Our generous sponsors this week are:
Whimsy Stamps who are giving 5 digital images
and
CoCo Dingo who are giving 4 digital images

I have used this lovely image from CoCo Dingo called Butterfly in Lavender which I have coloured with Promarkers and matted onto mustard and mauve card. The pink paper was some I had in my stash (un-named I'm afraid) and the sentiment comes from Craftwork Cards. The lavender image stamped onto the mauve circle is from an Elusive Images set.

I printed a second butterfly and decoupaged this onto the original image to give some depth.
And this is the inside.

So now it's your turn. Take a look at the wonderful creations from the rest of the DT and then join in with us for this great colour challenge. I am looking forward to seeing your entries.
Bye, bye for now.

Digi Doodle Shop Challenges #63 - Stitching

Back again, this time with my card for the Digi Doodle Shop Challenge. The theme for this week is "Stitching" and I have used this lovely image of a vintage lady in her fabulous feather and rose adorned hat. It can be found here in the Digi Doodle Shop.

Now, before I give you any further details of my card, I must let you know that a seamstress I am NOT!! Give me a pair of knitting needles, a crochet hook or even an embroidery needle and I am fine but put a sewing machine in front of me and I go to pieces. So, as this is my very first attempt at stitching on a card, please forgive the uneven and slightly wonky result - lol.

The papers are from the Pink Petticoat Vintage Rose collection and the image has been coloured with Promarkers. The little pearls in the corners have been added to cover up that wonky stitching I mentioned!!!!

The flowers are from an assortment of suppliers including Wild Orchid Crafts and Hobbycraft. The ribbon from my stash.

Now it's your turn - pop over to the Challenge Blog, take a look at all the other fantastic creations made by the rest of the DT for your inspiration and join in the fun. I am looking forward to seeing what you create.

DYSU Challenge #24 - Use A Star

Good Morning All
Time for another challenge over at Do You Stack Up and this week we want you to Use A Star. This can be starry paper, star brads, star design, in fact anything starry!!

Our wonderful sponsors this week are:

Pixie Dust Studio who are giving a choice of 3 digis

Little Musings who are giving a choice of 3 digi stamp kits

and JLJ Designs who are giving $10 gift certificate to the store

For my card this week I have used this delightful little image from Pixie Dust Studio called "Wink Blasts Off"

He has been coloured with Promarkers, cut out and mounted with foam pads onto the star. All the papers were created on my computer and printed onto pearlised paper for a shimmery look. The star in the centre was cut from 3 papers at different sizes on the Cricut, as were the stars in the top right-hand corner. The sentiment was also generated on the computer and small gems have been added to the centres of the tiny stars.

A small gem has also been added to the flame on the fuse.

And this is the inside

The rest of the DT have made some wonderful projects for inspiration and we would love you to visit the DYSU Challenge blog and take a look. There are some great prizes up for grabs so why not join in the fun. You have to be in it to win it ladies - :0)

Anyway, once again, thanks so much for looking and for all the lovely comments you leave.
Happy Crafting and I shall be back later with my other DT card.

Happy Birthday Louise!!

Today is Louise's Birthday and I thought I would show you the card I made for her. Happy Birthday Lou xx

The backing paper is from Prima 6" x6" stack - Sparkling Spring. The flowers, lace and seam binding are from Wild Orchid and the round sentiment from LOTV.  I added a touch of Victorian Velvet Distress Ink to the flowers so they would match the plain pink card  used to mat the image.  The inking around the image and the sentiment is Spun Sugar Distress Ink.

I have coloured the image with Promarkers and glittered nearly everything with Stickles. The flourish is a Doohickey and the leafy stems a MS punch.

I am going to enter this card into the following:

Totally Gorjuss #84 - Flower Power
Woodware USA #34 - Happy Birthday

I also made her a card from the dog :0)

The image is from Karen's Doodles and so reminds me of Sway who is quite partial to a bit of feather finding when left alone - lol

That's all for today.  I shall be back tomorrow with my DT cards and would be so happy if you will pop back to take a look.

Isn't She Lovely !!

Hi All

How you doing on this wet and windy Sunday evening??  Well, it's wet and windy here :0(  No card tonight but I was going through some of the photos on my computer and came across this one of Sway (Louise's dog) and thought I would share it with you. This was taken in my craft room - she was feeling really fed up and took to her bed because I would not play with her -  bless!

Hope you enjoy looking at this. I know I am biased, but she really is a cutie.

That's all for now,
Hugs

Digi Doodle Shop Challenges #62 - No Backing Paper

My second post today is for Digi Doodle Shop Challenges - yes, we have a new name and a fab new look to the Challenge Blog and the Shop.  Judy has been very busy and they both look fantastic. Make sure you pop over and take a look.  I'm sure Judy would really appreciate your comments on the design :0)

Our challenge this week is No Backing Paper. You can of course use coloured card, embossed card or even stamp your own backing but no Designer Papers allowed!! I decided to make a clean and simple card and have used only this gorgeous floral frame which you can get here.

I printed one image directly onto the card and another onto Neenah so that I could colour it with Promarkers.  I then cut out all of the flowers and leaves and stuck them onto the card. Some have been stuck directly to the design and some have been raised with foam pads. The sentiment was generated on the computer and also attached to the card with foam pads.  The butterfly was cut with a MS punch and four pink pearls added to the body.

Okay crafters....your turn now. Hop on over to the Challenge Blog - the rest of the DT have made some gorgeous cards to inspire you and there are some lovely new images available in the shop. Then come join in the fun. I can't wait to see what you create.

DYSU Challenge #23 - Birthday

Hi All,
Thursday again and that means time for another challenge over at Do You Stack Up!!  First of all though, I must tell you that the new DT members have now been chosen and will be inspiring you from July onwards. Really looking forward to seeing their wonderful creations.  Now onto this week's  theme which is Birthdays - couldn't get any easier !!

We have three lovely sponsors this week and they are:

Bugaboo Stamps who are giving 7 digital images of the winner´s choice

Pink Cat Studio who are giving 5 digital images of the winner´s choice

and Crafty Emma's Store who are giving a £10 voucher for their shop (p&p not included!)

For my card, I have used this gorgeous House Mouse design from Crafty Emma's Store. I just love these cute little images - don't you....  I have used Promarkers to colour the image and cut it on the Cuttlebug. The papers are some Louise bought me back from the USA as part of a scrapbooking kit so I'm afraid I do not know who they are by. The sentiment is one I have had for years by Funstamps.

The hearts were cut on the Cricut and mounted onto the card using a circular paper clip. To complete the front I added three felty brads from my stash.

And this is the inside.

I hope you will come join us for this fun challenge. The DT have created some lovely cards to inspire you and really would appreciate you taking a look and leaving them some love......and there are some great prizes up for grabs. So what are you waiting for?  :0)

Thanks for looking and happy crafting
