Spring has Sprung!!

I have had this CC Designs image stamped and ready to be coloured for ages but have never got round to it, so today I was determined to use her for a card.  She is called Heidi Among the Flowers and is one of the Sweet Pixies range. Isn't she cute!!

As this is quite a simple image, I decided to keep the card simple. The heart paper is one I have had hanging around forever and the white has been embossed with butterflies.

The pink flower is from Craftwotk Cards as is the card candy on the corners. Everything else is from my stash.

Oh, yes - she is coloured with Promarkers and glitter has been added to her wings and hair decoratations.

Before I go, I just want to say a huge THANK YOU for all the lovely comments I have been receiving lately and to my new followers - WELCOME.

Denise xx

I am entering this card into the following:

I Love Promarkers #59 - Emboss It
Stamps R Us - Celebrate Spring
Totally Gorjuss - Spring has Sprung
Kaboodle Doodles #60 - Spring has Sprung

DYSU Challenge # 13 - Clear, Light Pink and Mauve

It's Thursday again so that means it's DYSU Challenge time. Thanks for all the great entries we had last week and congrats to the winners. Also, a big welcome to our very first Guest Desiginer, Shelby Goolsby. Do go have a look at her creation for this week - it's amazing.

There is also huge surprise for you this week. Our lovely DYSU site owner Alison is rewarding each of the Top 3 picks with 2 (single) images from her fantastic Stretch N Bubbles Shop!! Not only today, but with every challenge from today on! How cool is that?!

This week's challenge is Clear, Light Pink and Mauve.

and our lovely sponsors are:

Black Leaf who are giving the Festive Chinese Lantern Set

Stitchy Bear who are giving $10 Certificate which can be used for Stitchy Stamps, Floppy Latte Designs, and Lexi Creations

Digi's with Attitude who are giving $10 (Canadian) Certificate

For my card I have used a streamer and two of the lantern designs from Black Leaf which I have coloured with Promarkers. I cut a section from the card and inserted acetate (well actually it's not strictly acetate because I couldn't find any sturdy enough so I cut up one of my Spellbinders cases!!!).  The papers are from a My Craft Studio CD - Illustrious Illusions and the border was made by importing the streamer into the programme, tiling it and adding it to a border on the CD.

I then cut the lanterns out, stuck them to the card and finished off with three bows.  A very simple card but quite effective.

And this is the inside - I love that dreamy pink cloud design.

Ok, that's my card for this week so all that is left to say is please don't forget to pop over to the DYSU Challenge blog, take a look at the other DT's cards and then join in the fun. Can't wait to see what you create.

Thanks for looking

Good Evening All,

I hope you are all looking forward to the weekend!!
My card this evening uses the beautiful digi image from Sugar Nellie - Grace. I just adore these little girls and have been trying to print one off for ages.

I am going to enter this card into the Sugar Bowl Challenge # 56, which is a sketch by Kiki and the optional theme of Pink.

I have coloured her with Coloursoft pencils and Sansodor - I wanted a softer effect than the one I get with Promarkers.

The dotty paper is from the Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby Paper Stack. This is definitely a collection that you get out, stroke and put back again. Let me tell you, I had to take a very deep breath before I cut into this :o)

The wavy edge on the pink and white card has been cut using a Doohickey from Magnolia and the  lace is from Wild Orchid Crafts. The roses are some I picked up in Hobbycraft which I coloured using Vintage Velvet Distress Ink to match the distressed edges on the papers.

To finish off, I distressed a butterfly greeting from Craftwork Cards (don't think they do these anymore though), slightly bent the wings and there you have it.

I hope you like.

Little Amy

Good evening all you lovely bloggers.

I was browsing the lovely Vicky's blog and saw two gorgeous cards using the sweetest of images and then, to my delight,  read that one of the images was a freebie over at Crafty Sentiments Designs Challenge Blog to use to enter the challenge. Well, not being one to turn down a freebie, I went straight over there and grabbed it!!  She is part of a new set of Amy digis that have just been realeased.  And this is what I made:-

I decided that she would suit a circular easel card perfectly. The papers are from Nitwits "So Berry Precious Set", the large circle sentiment is from a set I bought some time ago from Crafty Sentiments Designs and the small circle from Craftwork Cards.  I have coloured her with Promarkers and edged the card with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink.

Right, I'm off now to enter this into the following challenges:

Crafty Sentiments Designs - Amy
Creative Inspirations - no square cards

DYSU Challenge # 12 - Shine On!!

Happy Thursday All,

Another great challenge last week at DYSU. Loads of lovely entries - you guys are great and of course, congrats to all the winners.

This weeks challenge is called "Shine On". We want to see lots of bling on your cards - the shinier the better! So come on girls, get out those sparkles, glitter, rhinestones and show us what you can do.

Our two lovely sponsors this week are:

Digi Doodle Shop who are giving a $10 gift certificate

and Heather Ellis who is giving 3 images from her Etsy Shop - Digi Stamp Characters

My card this week features a cute little mousey from Heather Ellis Digi Stamp Characters - Mouse in the House collection. I have coloured her with Promakers and sparkled her tutu with Stardust Stickles. The papers used are from Basic Grey - Sugared Attractive and all hase been made into a centre stepper card.

I have tied a ribbon around the centre, added a stickled button, ballet shoes charm and heart. The heart I made myself by cutting out the shape from card, embossing with two coats of UTEE and a final coat of Crystal Sparkle powder.

To complete the card, I have added more bling in the form of gems - these were clear but I coloured them with a Promarker.  I have also outlined the circle image and papers with stickles.

Can't wait to see what you all come up with this week so don't forget to join in the fun over at DYSU Challenge Blog. While there, take a look at the other DT's cards. Once again they are gorgeous!!

I am going to enter this card into:

Sweet Stamps Challenge - Centre Step Card
Anything Goes Challenge - Make your own embellishments (heart)

Thanks for looking

Spring or Summer?!!

Hi All

Todays card is going into two challenges, one for Spring and one for Summer as I think the colours suit both seasons. I have used an image from Some Odd Girl. I love these quirky little ladies and really enjoyed colouring her.

The papers are from Blonde Moments - Spring Fling - and are again some I have had for ages. Aren't I being such a good girl using up some of my old stash!!!  I think the bright funky style goes well with the quirkiness of the image.

The flowers were cut on the Cricut - and that's about all I can say about it.  Oh except the inside looks like this -

Well, that's all for now - back soon.

The Engineer

What is going on??? Another day with two posts - obviously not enough housework being done :)  Hey, it will still be there tomorrow!!

For this card, I have used this great Mo Manning image - The Engineer. Doesn't this old guy look as though he is really enjoying himself.  I have coloured him with Promarkers and used Basic Grey papers for the card - I think they are from the Archaic collection (quite old).

The wording on the tickets came with a Bugaboo digi and the one on the base of the card is a Paper Artsy stamp.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

I Love Promarkers  # 57 - Men's cards
Paper Pretties - Masculine card
Digi Doodle Shops Best - Anything goes
CES Challenges # 27 - Men only
Mo's Challenge # 74 - Lets hear it for the boys

Hugs to All

DYSU Challenge # 11 - Add a Bow

It's Thursday again and that means another great challenge over at Do You Stack Up. Before I give you the details for this week's challenge, I would firstly like to thank all of you who took part last week. We had some fantastic entries as usual and congrats to the winners. We also have some sad news to share: DYSU Design Team member Pauline is stacking up with us for the last time. Thank you, Pauline for all the inspiration and joy you shared! You wil be missed!

This week our challenge is "Add a Bow"

and our two generous sponsors are:

Jellypark who are giving one lucky winner 10 digital stamps of the winner's choice!

Robyn's Fetish who are giving the second lucky winner 5 digital stamps or 4 digital stamps and 1 paper pack (winner´s choice)

I have made a twisted easel card this week featuring a cute image from Jellypark. I have coloured her using Promarkers but I paper pieced her dressed and then coloured the flowers. The papers are Heidi Grace - Baby Girl collection which I have had stashed away for ages 'cos I did not want to use it - far too nice!!!  However, as I had two pieces of each, I relented. Have to use it some time. lol :)

The dark brown card is some lovely Hunky Dory Silk Art card and the flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts. The flowery ribbon, which matched perfectly, is American Crafts and the brown bow is from a box of chocolates - never throw anything away!!

The lovely circular message is a digi from Crafty Sentiments.

Don't forget to have a look at all the other DT creations and enter the challenge - all you have to do is add a bow!! Remember also that one of our Top 3 will be picked to be a Guest Designer.

Thanks for dropping by again this week and happy crafting.
