DYSU #36 - Texture

Hello All,
So it's Thursday again and time for another fun challenge over at Do You Stack Up?.  This week's theme is Texture - this can be textured card, fabric, metal, embossing - in fact any kind of texture you can find.

Our sponsors this week are:

Digi Doodle Shop - $10 Gift Certificate

Pizzazz Aplenty - $10 Prize Package

Love to Stamp
Love To Stamp - Winner's choice of one "Little Darlings" rubber stamp

My card this week uses this cute image from the Digi Doodle Shop called "Bird Watching" and let me tell you, it has texture aplenty. I have used a stone paint for the bird bath, yellow velvet paper for the birdie, Flowersoft for the grass and flowers and glossy accents on the water, beak and his eye.

The only bit I am not too sure about is the Flowersoft - I think it looks a bit tatty, although I must admit it looks better in the flesh!

And this is the inside with a removable tag for a message. The greeting reads "Best Fishes"

Medium - Promarkers, Derwent pencils and Sansodor, Eberhard Faber Granite paint, Faded Jeans DI
Paper - Pink Petticoat
Cardstock and velvet paper - stash
Greetings - Pink Petticoat freebie stamp

I would love for you to hop on over to DYSU and take a look at the rest of the DT girlies' fantastic cards and hopefully you will be inspired to join in.

Thanks for looking
Denise xx

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Shopping Our Stash # 16 - Birds, Bugs and Beasts
Crafty Boots #1 - Anything Goes

Morning Denise! I am doing a bit of blogging before work, I can't resist and wow, I love your card! I think your flowersoft looks great as the grass and all the textural details you've added are fab. I love that image and the way he is staring at the water hoping to get a catch! Great card! Have a fab day, Hugs, Teresa x

This is brilliant Denise! The cloud paper looks fab., both on the outside and the gorgeous inside of the card. Love the Flowersoft grass - it doesn't look at all tatty, and it gives great dimension.
Hugs, Sylvia xxx
