Let Them Eat Cake !!

Hello all you Happy Bloggers!
I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. I am - have spent most of it in my craft room making cards with the sun shining in through the window - bliss :0)

For my card today, I have used a lovely image from The Stamping Boutique depicting Marie Antionette which you can find here in the shop. I love this quirky digi and couldn't wait to use it. This is my 4th card as Guest Designer and will probably be my last - unless I can find some me time over the next couple of weeks - lol.

Digi Doodle Shop Challenges #69 - Anything Goes

Back again.......this time with my card for this week's challenge over at Digi Doodle Shop Challenges which is everyone's favourite - Anything Goes.

My card this week showcases another great Louis design called "Louis, Butterflies & Buttercups". I just love this little dragon and was so pleased when Judy released this third image of him. If you would like to purchase him, he can be found here, along with the previous two images. Last time I used him, I coloured him in green so decided this time I would use blue but am not sure this was the right decision. You can see my previous card here.

Friday, 22 July 2011

Hi All,
Hope you are all fine on this Friday morning and looking forward to the weekend. My card today is my 3rd one as Guest Designer for The Stamping Boutique who are sponsoring Crafty Catz this week so I thought I would enter this into their challenge - No Pink or Blue.

I have used this delightful image called "Poppies" which you can find here in the shop. I did not want colour these the usual red so opted for orange instead. Think they look quite good this colour - don't you. I just love colouring Tracey's images - they are so modern and such fun.

Close-up of the image.

And a simple inside decoration.

Colouring medium - Promarkers
Sentiment - Craftwork Cards

Digi Doodle Shop Challenges #68 – CAS

I'm back!!!!!  This time with my card for Digi Doodle Shop Challenges where this week we want to see Clean and Simple. That means nothing fussy or over the top - just a clean. simple design with a fair amount of white space on your card.  I know.........this sounds scary - but believe me when I tell you it is not as bad as you are imagining. Just resist the temptation to add just one more flower or perhaps a little bit more ribbon :0)

For my card, I have used this lovely Ballerina image, simply coloured her with Promarkers and matted her onto three different shades of turquoise card stock.  The sentiment was printed directly onto the card from my computer. This was the trickiest part of making the card as I had to make sure I had it positioned correctly so there was enough room for the image.

And there you have it - a CAS card which I hope you all like!!  The rest of the wonderful Design Team have made some gorgeous cards to inspire you this week and I hope you will join us for some clean and simple fun !!!!

Once again, thanks for looking.

The Stamping Boutique - Cool Colours

Today I would like to show you my second DT card for The Stamping Boutique. I have used this lovely digi image called Dawn from the Enchantment Line, which I totally love. You can find her here. She fits in perfectly to their latest challenge which is to use Cool Colours. If you are not sure which are classed as "cool" just take a look at the colour wheel below.

I have added glitter almost everywhere I could, including on the darker background paper, although this does not show up too well in the pic. The little starfish I made myself.  I printed off a digi image, coloured it, covered it with Glossy Accents and when dry, added glitter. Looks quite good, don't you think!!  :0)

So, come on,  pop over to the Blog and join in - I would love to see what you come up with. Oh and don't forget to add your creation into the monthly challenge as well. Links to both challenges can be found at the top of their page.

Papers: freebies, white and pale green cardstock from stash
Colouring medium: Promarkers, Derwent pencils and Sansodor

Back again, this time with my DT card for Digi Doodle Shop Challenges. This week we want you to make your own flowers and as there are so many fab tutorials out there in blogland, this should be easy!!

When I first joined the DDSC team, I saw this lovely image called "Birdie Birdie" and was determined that I would use it for one of the challenges. When the make your own flowers challenge came I up, I knew that time had arrived, as I had some crocheted flowers lying around that I had made ages ago and never used, which would look perfect with the image.

DYSU #28 - Sew: Faux or Real

Hi Happy Bloggers,
Thursday again and so time for another challenge at Do You Stack Up. Where are the weeks going?? We want to see some Stitching this week, real or faux, the choice is yours.

And our lovely sponsors for this challenge are:
Robyn's Fetish who are giving the winner their choice of either 5 digital stamps or 4 digital stamps and 1 paper pack
Mami Doodles who are giving the winner 4 images (3 + 1 of their choice)

And so onto my card

I have used this little cutie pie from Mami Doodles and must say what a delight she was to work with. She is part of the "Ligia Playing Dress Up" set and can be found here. I have paper pieced her boots, bows and dress and coloured her with Promarkers.  The gorgeous papers are from Pink Petticoat - Wild Blossoms collection (a freebie on the front of July's issue of Quick Cards) and I am totally in love with them. May have to pop over to the website and buy them!!

I was going to get the sewing machine out and do some real stitching but decided on faux to match that on her boots. Glad I did as I think this looks so right.  To complete the card, I added some ribbon, flowers and buttons from my stash - the buttons are in fact a pale aqua with a beautiful glitter effect but this does not show up in the photo. Shame really cos they are lovely!  The sentiment comes from Craftwork Cards.

And of course, I decorated the inside too :0)

So, you have seen my little offering and you really should hop over to the DYSU blog and take a look at the rest of the DT's creations. Gorgeous, as per usual!! I look forward to seeing your lovely entries and leaving a comment.

The Stamping Boutique - Hidden

Hi All,
How you all doing this wet and sunny Saturday!!   Well, here it is, my first GDT card for The Stamping Boutique. Fell in love with this image as soon as I saw it and just had to print it off and start colouring.

Sorry about the lousy photo but as I mentioned, the weather is not too great where I am and I just could NOT get a decent pic :0(     This little fairy is called "Hidden" and can be found in the shop here. Isn't she just gorgeous. Love all those fab flowers she is perched on.

Have added loads of glitter to the design and flowers to go with the gorgeous papers that are from First Edition Papers 6"x6" stacks - loving these. I used one from the Summer Breeze collection and one from Bird Song.  The image is coloured with Promarkers and the flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Oh and the little green leafy things have been cut with a MS punch.

So, that's it for my first card for The Stamping Boutique - hope you like it and thank you so much for looking.
Hugs and Happy Crafting
