DYSU #18 - Pop of Purple

Hi All.  Another week has been and gone and we are ready to play a new challenge over at DYSU. This week's theme is PURPLE so get out all those lovely purple papers, flowers and ribbons and show us what you create.

Our lovely sponsors this week are:

Glitterbabe who is giving 2 images of the
winner’s choice

Copic Marker Scrapbooking who is giving 6 copic ciao markers (North & South America only), Martha Stewart punch (other countries)

Stretch n' Bubbles who is giving any 4 images of choice to the winner and 2 images to each of the TOP 3!

My offering this week was somewhat different. I was given the deck chair image by Copic Marker Scrapbboking to work with and could not make up my mind what to do with it until I saw a tutorial on the Letraset blog for using their Aquamarkers with the resist technique and knew I wanted to make a tag.

The deck chair has been coloured with Promarkers and the words were generated on the computer and cut out. The background technique can be found here. I then outlined the words with white paint, dabbed some more here and there, added some distress stickles (which do not really show up in the picture) and some grey pearls to finish. The ribbon and fibres through the top of the tag are some I have had for ages. Oh, I also edged the tag with distress ink.

Right, now it's your turn.  Pop over to the DYSU Challenge Blog, take a look at all the other DT's fab creations and our Guest Designer's card and then join in the fun. As usual, I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with and visiting your blog to leave a comment.

Thanks for looking.
Hugs
Denise xx

I've been studying your beautiful tag trying to figure out how you did the background! It's really neat, so i guess I'll follow the link to find out.
