DDSB #56 - Anything Goes

My second post today is the card I have made for the  Digi Doodle Shop's Best latest challenge of Anything Goes. We had some fabulous cards last week and congrats to all the winners. I can't wait to see what you come up with this week and look forward to visitng your blogs.

This gorgeous Baby Giraffe image comes with two versions - one with a bandage around it's neck and one without. Isn't it just such a cutie. I have not added a message as I feel this could be used for either a get well card or new baby as the bandage could be a scarf.  I have used some Brenda Pinnick DP that I have had for ages, matted onto pink card and coloured the image with Promarkers.

The ribbon is also from Brenda Pinnick (it all came from a scrapbooking kit) and the flowers are some I had in my stash.

Please do take a look at the rest of the DT's creations which are just wonderful and then hopefully you will be inspired to join in the fun.

Once again, thanks for looking.
Happy Crafting

DYSU #17 Make it Pop

Hi all, it's  time again for another great challenge over at DYSU.  We had great fun last week with our Easter Blog Hop and thank you for all your lovely comments on my cards. I have put all the numbers into the random org thingy and he chose comment No. 29 - Jacqueline - as the winner. Congratulations Jacqueline, the elephant image is on it's way to you. I hope you have as much fun as I did colouring it.

Our challenge this week is "Make It Pop" so we are looking for pop-up cards, 3d decoupage or just use anything to make your image pop off the card.

Our lovely sponsors this week are:

Black Leaf who are giving one winner the Welcome to the Jungle clipart set

Digis With Attitude who are giving one winner $10 CAD ( Canadian Funds)  Gift Certificate for their store

Stitchy Bear who are giving one winner $10 Gift Voucher

and Stretch n Bubbles who are giving is giving 2 single images to each of the TOP 3

I have used this fun image from Stitchy Bear called "Please Drink Responsibly" and I have made a spring fold, or as some call it, diamond fold card. The papers are from a My Craft Studio cd and I have coloured the image with Promarkers. Do you like her pink rinse?!!!

I have added Glossy Accents to her glasses, earrings, beads, the glass, the cup and her shoes although this does not show up that well in the photo I'm afraid.

The sentiment has been printed on the computer and comes from a very, very old song from way before my time called "Enjoy Yourself". I have used sticky pads to raise the image from the card and tucked the sentiment behind.

Now it's your turn.  Please do take a look at all the other DT's creations, they are very inspirational and I look forward to seeing what you come up with and leaving a comment on your blog.

Thanks for looking and for commenting - they make my day when reading them.

DDSB Challenge #55 - Glitter and Glitz

Wow!! It's my second week at Digi Doodle Shops Best already. Time just seems to be flying by. The challenge this week is Glitter and Glitz and I have made a twisted easel card using this totally gorgeous Fairy image. You can find her at the store here.

I have coloured her with Promarkers and added lots of glitter to her hair, wings. shoes and edges of the paper. The paper is a digi from Nitwits called "Oh the Possibilities". Such pretty pastel designs - I love them!! The scalloped circle is from the Spellbinders' Floral Doiley Motifs set and the flourishes are cut with a Magnolia Doohkickey die. I have added lavender crystal gems and ribbon.  The flowers, which I have also glittered and lace are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

To complete the card, I have printed off a message, added it to the base and decorated with a small rose and leaf.

Now it's your turn. Make sure you go over to the DDSB Challenge blog and take a look at all the other DT girls' creations which are just amazing, then add yours into the challenge. I can't wait to see what you come up with and look forward to leaving a comment on your blog. While you are there, don't forget to take a look at the shop. New digis are added on a regular basis and there is still that sale on ALL of the digis running throughout the month of April.

Thanks once again for looking.

Furthermore a winner will be randomly chosen from those who leave a comment on our DTs blogs to win a Stretch N Bubbles image. For further info on prizes etc. hop (excuse the pun!) on over to the DYSU challenge blog and also take a look at the rest of the teams creations. We are all showcasing two projects each this week.

So, on to my cards for this week. I will keep the details brief as you have had a lot to read already!!!  The first one uses a sweet image from Amber Ink called "Owl be Your Friend".

I have coloured it with Promarkers and matted it onto some digital papers from Summer Driggs called Liqourice and Bubblegum. To complete it, I printed off the message which matches the image, added a brown bow and a small owl charm.

For my second card I have used this fun image from Stretch & Bubbles. This was such a joy to colour - just like being a kid again!!.

This has also been coloured using Promarkers and  I have added diamond glaze to some parts of the image but it does not show up in the picture. I then cut  the elephant out, stuck it onto black card and matted it onto some lovely paper my daughter gave me - (sorry do not know the name of it). The flowers have been cut from the DP on my Cricut. I added a brad to the centre and attached them with silicone glue. To finish, I stamped the sentiment onto a tag shape and attached it beneath the flower.

Right then, down to business......if you would like to win this gorgeous elephant image, all you have to do is leave me a comment. I will randomly choose a winner after the challenge closes. I would also love it if you became a follower but that is not mandatory.

Simple as that!!!!  Oh and if you haven't yet realised my letter is    ** S **

Your next stop on the hop is Janna - good luck collecting your letters and I look forward to seeing all your gorgeous entries.

Happy Hopping

DDSB Challenge #54 - Stripes

Very excited today as this is my  first creation for Digi Doodle Shops Best Challenge, #54 Stripes. I have used  the 1920's Vintage Dress stamp which has been paper pieced to match some of the layers on the card and coloured with Promarkers. The paper is from my stash and does not have a name on it - sorry. The sentiment is from a Butterfly Kisses stamp set from their Clear 2 Collage range. I have edged the design with peel-offs to give it an Art Noveau feel!!

Quite a simple card but I felt the image didn't need anything too fussy - I hope you like. I also hope you will go on over to DDSB and take a look at the rest of the new DT's creations - they are fab. While there, why not join in the challenge - we want to see stripes of any kind, the choice is yours - paper, ribbon, stripey animals!! Also, why not become a follower so that you do not miss out on future challenges. If you do become a follower, please leave a comment mentioning that I (Denise) suggested you sign up - thanks.

Do also have a look at the shop - they have some really gorgeous digi stamps and a special offer running at the moment.

Once again, thanks so much for looking and for all the lovely comments you have been leaving me - they really make my day!!

Another great challenge last week at DYSU - think you liked the yellow theme as entry numbers were back up to normal!! Thank you all who entered and well done to the winners. This weeks challenge is Scallops - we want to see those scalloped borders, circles, lace etc. somewhere on your card.

Below is listed our lovely sponsors and their generous prizes.

Stamp Fairy  is giving 2 digis of winner´s choice

Bonibleaux  is giving a $10 gift certificate to the store
Stretch N Bubbles who is giving 2 (single) images to each of the Top 3!

Before I tell you about my card for this week I must give you some important info - we have decided that we are going to announce our winner/top3/guest designer on Wednesdays from now on (dead line remains the same), so you are not having a long wait anymore. The new challenge will be posted on Thursdays as usual!

I had a bit of fun with my card this week. I have used an image from Bonibleaux called "Everyday Hero Evan". I decided to make a twister card using Evan on the flip side and a message which I created in Powerpoint using Wordart on the front. The paper is also self-made by placing varoius clipart images onto the page and prinitng it out onto pale pink paper. Sorry about the lousy pics but having taken about twenty and still not able to get a decent one, I gave up!!

Evan is coloured using Promarkers.

The message inside has been printed on my computer.

I hope you like and that it made you giggle!!  Now don't forget to pop over to the DYSU Challenge Blog and see all the other great offerings from the DT and our Guest Designer for this week.

Make sure you come back next week!!

The Stamping Boutique are giving 5 images of the winner's choice
Crafty Emma's Store are giving a set of 6x6 "Oh La La" papers

Crafty Emma´s images that are showcased by our Design Team were from a couple of digi companies. The money paid for these images (which can be purchased via Crafty Emma) is going to the charity they are supporting - The Yorkshire Air Ambulance. For more information please check their blog .

Plus - don't forget that our top 3 picks will each get 2 digi stamps from our lovely blog owner Alison's shop @ Stretch n Bubbles.

And so on to my offering this week.

This week's image is Bella Bride from Sassy Studio Designs. I have coloured her with Promarkers and mounted her onto embossed vellum (not clear in the picture) and white card. Beneath that is a printed wedding vellum and then a pearlised card which has been stamped with swirls. These and all the edges of the papers have been embossed with Enchanted Gold powder.

The corner embellishments were cut using a die from the Floral Doiley Motifs set from Spellbinders and also embossed with Enchanted Gold powder.

I made the flower myself using some lace that I had in my stash and edged it with yellow glitter. I added a yellow rose (also glittered) from Wild Orchid Crafts and a shiny yellow butterfly motif I have had in my stash for ages. The heart charm comes from an old bracelet and has been coloured with alcohol ink.

This is the lace before I gathered it.

To finish off, I added another butterfly and decorated the inside to match. This was a very fiddly card to make (all that embossing!) but I enjoyed every moment and am very happy with the final result. I hope you like too!!

So, now it's your turn - please do visit the DYSU Challenge blog and have a look at what all the other girls have made. There are some great creations to inspire you and we all look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Happy Crafting
