Yay - it's the weekend!

Which means its time for another Sugar Bowl Challenge. This week they have a lovely sketch by Lillian with the theme of Happy Birthday. So, I have been happily crafting all day - housework can wait. It will still be there tomorrow!!

They have a wonderful prize this week also -  A set of Nestabilities Labels 17 dies AND a set of 6 brand spanking new Simply Sassy rubber stamps. Pop over to the blog and have a look.

I have used one of the original Gorjuss Girls (cos I love them all).  The papers are from Fancy Pants - English Rose and Romance.  Aren't they just to die for.  The picture really does not do them justice.

I have coloured her with Coloursoft Pencils and Sansodor - I think this gives a softer effect than using Promarkers, which fits well with the papers.

The ribbon is from my stash and the ovals, flowers and tag have been cut on the Cricut.  The sentiment is from Stampendous - Everything Happy (had to angle the "happy" to make it fit the tag!!).

I decorated the inside too.

Am off now to make some more cards.
Hope you like.  Thanks for looking.

Let It Snow

Good Evening All,

Tonight's card is going to be entered into a few challenges. This gorgeous image called "Kai in the Snow" is from Mo's Digital Pencil - isn't he just the cutest!!

I have coloured him with Promarkers and glittered the pom poms and snow.

I have also glittered the edges of all the different layers and the snowflakes. The mat has been embossed using a Fiskars Texture Plate and the snowflakes cut with a Martha Stewart punch.  The brads and ribbon are from my stash.  The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.

I really enjoyed colouring this image but making a white on white card was a real nightmare for me.  It bothered me that the various layers of white looked different shades - once I had put it altogether though, they seemed to tone in!!!

The challenges I am entering it into are:

DP2 Challenge 49 - Bright White
Wild Orchid 6 - Ribbons and Bows,
Colour Create - All White
I Love Promarkers - White on White
A Spoonfull of Sugar - Anything Goes

Anyway, hope you like it.

Thanks for looking.

First Christmas Card!

Happy Sunday All,

I have finally managed to finish my first Christmas card for this year - a bit late I know.  However, it's seems to be the same each year - I get to November and think help....only one month to go and loads of cards to make!!!!  So, I suppose, considering its only September, I am early this year.

I have used this gorgeous LOTV stamp  - Angel Gabriel, which has been coloured using promarkers and stickled with Star Dust.  The papers are a digital download from Nitwits called Joyful Hearts.  Love these.

I have finished off with some satin ribbon from my stash, a stickled snowflake cut using a Martha Stewart punch and a sentiment from Craftwork Cards.

Oh...and the inside has been decorated too!

I have two more on the workspace waiting to be completed, So as soon as these are finished, I will post them.

Enjoy the remainder of your weekend.

Sugar Bowl Sweetie Search

Hello All,

The Sugar Bowl are looking for New Sweeties to join them so I thought I would enter a card. Below is the sketch we were given to follow.

I have used Goth Girl, which is definitely one of my favourites.  I was going to put some lovely dark mauve roses on the card but decided they were a little too girly so stuck to the sketch and used some stars, which I have covered in a delicious purple glitter.

She is coloured with Promarkers and has a touch of glitter on her earrings, arm bands and the pin on her skirt.  Well, a girl has to have some bling!

The main backing paper is a digi I had on my computer - sorry can't remember where I got it from.  The graffiti paper is from Prima Marketing "Pulse Collection".  Not sure which one as I had already cut the strip off the bottom. The "Girls Rule" stamp is from Penny Black.

I have distressed the edges of the circle with Dusty Concord Distress Ink. The edges of the papers have been distressed with black Memento.

I hope you like it - all comments are of course very welcomed.   I shall now spend the next few days with everything crossed!!!!!!!

Happy Crafting

Sugar Bowl Challenge 43 - Judy's Sketch

Hello All,

Hope you are having a great Saturday.

Below is my card for the Sugar Bowl Challenge.  Judy has given us a great sketch with the optional theme of "Buttons"  and there are some wonderful creations by the Sweeties to give us all inspiration.

The Gorjuss Girl has been coloured with Promarkers and I have used a lovely button for the centre of the flower that came from the button box I inherited from my Mum!! The little white buttons on the tabs are brads that I bought at Hobbycraft ages ago. All the other elements are from my stash - time I used some of this up.

The sentiment is an Inkadinkadoo stamp which goes so well with this image.

Do pop over to the Sugar Bowl and join in the fun.  There is a great prize up for grabs- the winner can choose from either the 4 new Sugar Nellie Country Cousins rubber stamps or the 4 new Sugar Nellie Manga Christmas rubber stamps.  Plus some Papermania goodies.

Once again, thanks for looking and happy crafting.

Pearls and Pins

Hi All,

Hope you had a great weekend.  We did, spent half of Saturday at Crafts U Love buying lovely crafting goodies and Sunday making cards. Sheer heaven and no housework!!!

Today's card is a joint effort by myself and Louise.  We are entering it into the Wild Orchid Challenge 5 and Die Cut Dreams, both with the theme Pearls and Pins.  We have used a lovely Gorjuss Girl image and digital papers from Nitwits - loving these and so many to choose from!!  All the papers are from the Butterfly Kisses Too kit and the scalloped circles have been cut on the Cuttlebug and edged with Distress Ink.

The image has been coloured with Promarkers (sorry can't remember what colours we used).

The flowers and pins are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the pearls are some we had in our stash.

Unfortunately, the colours have not come out too well in the picture. Suppose that's what comes of taking pictures at night under a light bulb. The dress is looking orange but is actually pink - where is David Bailey when you need him????

Once again, thanks to those who look and leave a comment - we are really grateful. You spur us on to keep creating.
