Puppy Love

Thought it was time to post another picture of the pup!! This was however taken some time ago but it is such a lovely picture of her that I wanted to share it. She has grown quite a lot since.

More recent photos to come very soon.

Also thought it is time I posted some more cards, so below are a couple I made quite some time back but thought you might like to see them. Please feel free to comment - your views are always greatly appreciated.
Bye for now........happy crafting!

What A Week!

What a horrible week I have had. It started wonderfully on Sunday, which was my birthday. I had a lovely lunch by the river with my daughter and her boyfriend and spent the evening playing with my birthday present....a gorgeous purple laptop. Thank you to the family who all chipped in. Then Monday arrived and I went down with a horrendous cold - headache, temperature and chesty cough. Luckily, I had booked the week off. If the cold was not enough, my boiler was booked for a service on the Tuesday and the engineer found that it was not firing properly and needed a new part so turned it off, leaving me with no hot water!!! Thank heavens I have an electric shower. Wednesday passed without any problems and then came Thursday! I was booked to have a new digital aerial fitted in the morning between 9am and 1pm. The fitter arrived at 12.20pm and merrily began to drill into the skirting board in order to fit the new socket when suddenly sparks flew and the electric went off. It would appear the Council have run wiring behind the skirting. AAAAAGGGGGHHHHHH....... He called for an electrician who thankfully put things right very quickly but in doing so, managed to cause more sparks which burnt a large hole in my net curtains. The fitter has offered to pay for a new one. I think I would have preferred a different way to get a new curtain.

So, Friday is here and (fingers crossed) so far so good.

Having had such a horrible week, I thought I would post a card I made for my cat loving friend's birthday. I hope you like it and look forward to your comments.

The paper is Basic Grey Porcelain taken from a 6"x6" paper pad, mounted onto black card and inked around the edges. The stamp is a Lelo Design from Stampavie by Nancy Hain, mounted on two sizes of Nestabilities. The embellishments are small black pearls. I have coloured the image with distressed inks.

Bye, bye for now.

Time to Craft

At last, a bit of cooler weather! I love the hot sunny days but cannot cope with the hot sticky nights. Spent most of last week sleeping with a fan blowing on my face. Thank heavens we have got air con at work, although I would much rather have been at home making the most of the sun.

I have finally found the time to make a card, only the one though!!! If I don't get back to crafting on a regular basis soon, my creative juices are going to dry up...ha, ha.

Yep, another Gorjuss Girl. Just love these stamps. The papers, flowers and sentiment are from Craftwork Cards and I have coloured the image with distress inks. Hope you like it.

That's all for now, enjoy what's left of the weekend.

Absent Blogger

At last, a moment to myself and time to get back to blogging. I didn't realise it was such a long time since my last post! Life has been fairly busy of late, I've not had any time to make cards or post on my blog. Below is a card I made some time ago and once again, apologies for the bad picture quality.....I will get the hang of taking close up photos one day!!!!! My daughter has a much better camera than I do and has promised to photograph my cards but she is just as busy as I am, puppy training taking up most of her time. The new addition is growing every day and becoming more and more gorgeous and more demanding! I will post some more photos of her soon.

Another Gorjuss Girl coloured with Coloursoft pencils and Sansodored. The backing paper is from a digitial download kit that I absolutely love but unfortunately the photography does not do it justice I'm afraid.

Thanks for looking.

New Addition

Thought it was about time I posted something on my blog but life has been so busy of late, I have had no time for the fun things. As I have no cards to show you at the moment, I thought I would show you a photo of the new addition to our family - my daughter and her partner's new puppy.

Isn't she just gorgeous. Those eyes. She is a Spanish Water Dog and her name is Sway (fans of Gone in 60 Seconds will get the connection). My daughter collects her from the breeder on Saturday so she has been busy buying pink puppy beds, feeding bowls, leads and gem studded name tags. I have a feeling this little lady is going to rule our lives for some time to come.
As soon as life returns to some normality, I will post some more of my cards. Until then thank you for looking.

Touchy Feely

I am entering this card into the "Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge" # 50 - Touch Feely. It is the first time I have entered a challenge and although I made this card some time ago, I thought it suited the challenge very well. I have used the Kadoodle stamp "Squaw" which is coloured with Coloursoft pencils and Sansodor and for the texture element I have used ribbons, an embossed frame and an engraved message tag. Sorry the quality of the photo has not would seem I am definitely NOT a photographer!!!

Thanks for looking.

My First Post

OK, having spent the last three days setting up this blog, I thought it was about time I posted something on it. Below are some examples of the cards I have made recently. As you can see I am Gorjuss Girl crazy and pretty much hooked on Tilda as well! Please accept my apologies if the photos are slightly blurred or too bright but my camera has been playing up.....hopefully things will get better!

The first card was inspired by "The Spoonful of Sugar" challenge 46 - "How Old" and was actually posted on the site as an emailed card. My very first blog card!!!

Sorry if the next one is a bit bright, but it is one of my favourites so far so I just had to post it!

Well, that's all for now as the other photos were just too blurred.

Thanks for looking and please do feel free to leave a comment.

Bye for now,
